Weinland Watch

A Note on Time Zones

One commenter from the Southern Hemisphere informs us that nothing shocking or horrifying has happened over there yet….and the seventh seal has been “open” for some time already now.

Would anyone from “the scattered church” in the UK like to report on whether or not their minds have been “opened” and if they’re going to be re-converting to Weinland’s church? (Don’t forget, you have to pay to be baptized, according to sources.)

In other news, a timely birthday wish for the administrator of Ambassador Watch is hereby tendered.

And one more comment from a time zone where the seventh seal is already “open”.

  1. I thought the seal wasn’t supposed to be open until tomorrow-I’m in Sweden-1 hour before England even and it’s definitely still the 13th.

  2. That was the Southern Hemisphere, my mistake.

Regardless, I haven’t seen anything about the world being shocked and in horror yet. It’s tomorrow somewhere in the world after all isn’t it?

  3. Yes, very true. But I should note that the US economy took a HUGE hit today and many are actually saying that a 1929 crash could be a reality again. A forum I read is talking about it tanking tomorrow. I am praying this doesn’t happen tomorrow. Any day but tomorrow.

  4. Hmm, all the news casts I’ve been hearing have said that the US government is feeling bullish, and that the worst that can happen is the same as the Savings&Loan that went under the 80s. It certainly didn’t “tank” in 1989. It didn’t look good for a while, but the economy still kept going, right through till today (and even tomorrow).

BTW, the buyout of Bear Stearns has pretty much stabilized the market, they feel.

  5. The “tanks” of 1929 and 1987 all came on the Monday after the Feast.

Gene Hogberg noted that trend in a Worldwide News column in 1987. Then the big drop of 1998 (my date could be off one or two years on that) ALSO occurred on that Monday.

    God wouldn’t change, would he?!

    P.S. It’s also 5:00 somewhere. I learned that in a country song. :–>

  6. Thanks for the info, I don’t know a thing about it. We’ll see tomorrow, but did I read somewhere on this site that Weinland isn’t expecting anything big for tomorrow? That it’s still April 17th or nothing?

  7. After tomorrow, members were (originally as of the March 1st sermon) exhorted to start pushing the books and start talking about their membership in the church. That game plan has now apparently been changed.

Weinland and his followers claim it will be “a spiritual awakening” (even though the book contradicts that), and all of the members of “the scattered church” will be “called back” under Weinland’s dominion. (This includes the leaders of the splinters.) pp. 23 of 2008: God’s Final Witness says: “….and the world will be shocked and in horror when the seventh seal is opened.”

Also, if Rod Meredith is still alive tomorrow, you can stick a fork in Weinland, he’s done.

  8. Really, does it say that the other leaders of the splintered groups have to be dead by tomorrow-the opening of the 7th seal? Specifically? And is he the last living one? I have noticed little things disappearing here and there and little inconsistancies in the sermons vs. the writing…hopefully this will prove to be another.

  9. Specifically it says Before the Seventh (and final) Seal is opened, the Seven Thunders will become so pronounced that the validity of everything written about them in the previous chapter should roar loudly in the ears of anyone who is willing to admit the truth.” [taken from pp. 115-118, 2008: God’s Final Witness]

“As the leader of the Living Church of God, Roderick Meredith is mentioned as one of many ministers who will die as a result of the prophesied Fifth Thunder.” (From the Interview Comments page at ronaldweinland.com. I keep quoting the damn thing all over the place and Weinland still hasn’t taken it down yet.)

The “Seventh (and final) Seal” has already opened in the Southern Hemisphere. No shock and horror emanating from down under just yet. And the lovely moon outside my window is still just as shiny-bright as ever. Oh wait, it’s not supposed to turn black for another month. Right. That “half hour of silence in heaven”.

Naturally, Weinland’s followers are now hanging on for April 17th, when all hell is supposed to break loose. Literally. One wonders why Weinland was making plans for Passover and the First Day of Unleavened Bread in Saturday past’s sermon. Although to be fair he did mention there would come a time when there would be no contact between the US and Europe, and that members would soon be unable to meet in certain areas. So he’s keeping the sheep scared, one way or another.

  12. Missed this the first time:

Methinks it’s more likely the investors will never change. 🙂 As the endless commenters were saying yesterday (and today), the reason Bear Stearns was bought out over the weekend was precisely so traders wouldn’t come in to work and sell off everything they were holding………on Monday.
