Weinland Watch

And There Goes the Seventh Seal………….

Well, I certainly haven’t been “spiritually awakened” to “return to the truth” of Weinland’s teachings. Nor am I likely to, if an entrance fee is required for baptism into the CoG-PKG. Hell, even Spanky’s sect (while they advocate fleecing the sheeple) doesn’t go so far as charging admission!

Interesting that in the March 1 sermon Weinland told members they could start proselytizing after March 18th. As of last Saturday’s sermon, the members aren’t even supposed to use Weinland’s name on the Internet. Maybe the elders (or Weinland himself) are afraid such activities might leave the members in a vulnerable position to be counselled out?

The world wasn’t “shocked and in horror” today like it was supposed to be. Oddly enough, all of Weinland’s believers whom I have interacted with, have no reply to questioning of that quote of his from pp. 23 of his own book. The seventh seal has now been opened for a day (two days if you count the other side of the International Dateline), and the world hasn’t been shocked or horrified by anything particularly global.

It was supposed to be a spiritual awakening you say? Then why was the world supposed to have been “shocked and in horror” according to Weinland’s own book?

  2. April. Weinland is supposed to be revealing the second witness in April. Right now it’s “thirty days of silence”. (And even odds as to whether or not Weinland is going to take off with the money and leave his evangelists and elders holding the (empty) bag…………………)

  4. Figure a “tithe” to be baptized.

A 10% “tithe” of one’s net income yearly.

A 2nd 10% “tithe” of one’s net income yearly, to be spent at the Feast (and whatever is left over was traditionally sent in to the church)

A 3rd 10% “tithe” every “third year of seven” to be put towards a “widows and orphans fund” (of which there are numerous stories available from ex-members of those who qualified for third tithe, but didn’t ever see a penny of it).

“Holy Day Offerings” (cash offerings taken up at each one of “the seven annual Sabbaths”).

“Special Offerings” (cash offerings called whenever the Apostle (or in this case the Witness) feels like he’s getting low on funds).

So how much money can he be getting from his followers? Imagine a church in the neigbourhood of five hundred to a thousand members.

    You do the math.

“I get many people that say, “Well, hes giving the book out for free. He had to print all those books! He travels”…I did a tiny calculation. If he has only 1,000 memebers who tithe 10%. Lets say the average income is 50,000 a year. Thats 5,000 a year, Thats 5 MIL a year! WW – your perspective please…”

In other words more than enough…..

  6. also im pretty sure he has said plenty of times that the two witnesses are to come on the scene as the seal is opened. I could be wrong but I listen to his sermons on saturdays and have also read his 2nd book and that was the impression I was under.

  7. The thing is he gives himself a lot of wiggle room on that. Apparently according to a radio interview he’s supposed to reveal the second witness in April, and many will reject the second witness. Speculation suggests this may be due to the fact that the witness is rumoured to be Weinland’s wife, when the two witnesses of Revelation are both men.

  8. WW – REMEMBER 29 days after today, silence only in heaven. there will NOT be silent on earth. Feb 9th Sermon 1:29:35

Also WW on the Feb 9th Sermon 1:32:00 – i quote: “Once the first rumpets begin to blow ON THAT EXACT DAY (april 17) it will sharpen up the hearing BUT You may not see the affects of the 1st trumpet on that day” – a bit of a contradiction in the same sentence.

He states in this sermon and after the opening of the 7th seal all the thunders will REALLY shake the world, then as stated in the book on the 17th of april, 1/3 all plant life animals and birds die and tens of thousands of people die. To me this is NOT a nuke, so Yellowstone better BLOW on that day!!!!

  10. First time post. Have been reading the site for awhile. The photo of “new” ambassador auditorium in petra was good.

Question 1 – Doesn’t RW believe in the pre-existence of Jesus Christ? If so, that disqualifies him immediately, thunders & seals notwithstanding.

Question 2 – Found a guy in India who says he’s the 2nd witness:

    http://vamsikrishnakarra.blogspot.com/2008/02/wwiii-reasons-why-ronald-weinland-is.html

Now what would RW say to a 2nd witness who doesn’t appear to be from an Israelite nation?

  11. 1. That disqualifies Weinland from being Christian. Given how he bashes “traditional Christianity” pretty much wholesale every sermon, I don’t think he would want to join anyway.

Trust me the prejudiced, racist, religious hate stuff I’ve heard coming out of Weinland’s mouth is a lot stronger than what I remember back in Worldwide days. Or maybe I just took all of that for granted, and it really was just as bad back then as Weinland is now.

    2. Weinland would call him a false prophet. Undoubtedly. I even had a page up from a guy in Hawaii who is using Weinland’s books and claims that he’s the other witness, for a while. I thought it was an official church site for a long time. I guess it’s one of the members, or one of the ex-members.

And strangely, it’s still out there, unlike the MySpace page of the 26-year-old who has disappeared from the Internet after Weinland excoriated her from the pulpit on the 15th.
