“Three More Weeks”: March 29, 2008 Sermon

Updated March 31: Transcript of the sermon here. Many thanks to http://weinlandtranscripted.wordpress.com!

Takeaway quote from this sermon:

1:53:20 “Three More Weeks”:

“If by Pentecost [June 8, 2008] I’m just going to make this real clear to everyone. If by Pentecost it is not powerfully and abundantly clear that there has been a great deal of destruction that will clearly encompass a third of all plant life in the US and at least the clear results of this mingled with blood the death of very much animal life and the beginning of large numbers of human life then I will stop preaching. Just so all the critics and everyone out there will understand. I am true to my word in these things. OK? And for all the critics if by the end of July and for most likely around Pentecost if nothing has clearly caused great destruction and death I will make it very clear that I was a false prophet. I will do exactly what I said I would do on aaaaall those interviews that I have held. To do less. Well. Would be quite insane.”

Looks like the “live” sermon was cancelled because of the elders’ meeting in Cinci this weekend. Here is the sermon for this week (streaming). If that link doesn’t work for you, download the file here. Of note, nothing will be revealed until it is time for it to happen, everything is spiritual that isn’t physical and physical things are spiritual, and oh yeah the critics are crackpots.

In between the rhetoric and backpedaling, notably, there will be written instructions for the Passover service on the 18th, on the CoG-PKG site. On the Publications page, at the bottom, it says Articles: Passover | Pentecost and there will be a third article added here, “Passover Service Instructions”.

The Weinlands and the Harrells will be in Jerusalem on April 17th, 2008. There will be a Passover sermon uploaded to the site from Jerusalem on the 18th. Local areas are recommended to keep the Passover around 8PM on the 18th. Weinland says that the brethren will not be screaming, but they will be crying out by that time. Weinland will announce who the second witness is on April the 19th, 2008 [Note that Weinland instead “announced” it one day earlier instead.] in the Saturday sermon following the Passover service on the 18th April, 2008.

Weinland does make the point that, if nothing happens by Pentecost (kept by the CoG-PKG June 8, 2008), with regards to the “fire mingled with blood” of the first trumpet, he will be a false prophet, and he will stop preaching, towards the end of the sermon. He does make a last-ditch fear-mongering plea to “the scattered church” at the end that he would fear to be his critics on April 17th, 2008.

Naturally, Weinland does not address the discrepancy between his prophecies and his critics: I am a member of “the scattered church” but I still call Weinland a false prophet. Therefore, what of Satan’s inability to influence me, now that the seventh seal has been opened? Oh that’s right it’s all spiritual. Or not.

Oh and by the way someone asked me if I was “scared” at all because apparently Weinland went on a runner about how all of his critics (the perverted twisted ones) are “scared scared scared”. I dunno, I’m a little disappointed the Maple Leafs have been eliminated from the playoffs this year, but I wouldn’t say I’m scared. At all. Not even a little bit. Sorry Ronnie boy.

More quotes from the sermon below.

21:30: [Weinland stated that] “….we do not announce the specific location of services, but only the city where they’re taking place, because there are “…a lot of crackpots out there…on the internet…I am talking to some of you crackpots…there are sick, sick people out there…If you don’t agree with something, get a LIFE…How can you feast on this?” [Weinland claims that he has more to say to the crackpots and that] “…you may want to stay tuned to this sermon.”

34:50: “…Critics do not get it because they don’t see it spiritually, they’re small minded, they’re perverted, they’re twisted and they’re destroying themselves. Too bad!! Get a life…while you can.

50:00-51:01: “Also a part of something that I believe God has given to me to do is that I’ll begin my job as one of the two witnesses while in Jerusalem. Both witnesses will be in Jerusalem April the 17th. Laura and I are going to Israel. The Harrells are coming with us. That’ll cause some things out here [unclear].” [laughter] I can hear it now. Whoo! [snickers] They got a 50-50 chance. Well. Four out of three[?]. Maybe there’s someone we’re going to meet up with! Some of you critics out there. I’m talking to you people listening in. Not any of you listening in in the congregation. [snickers] Who could it be? Well that’ll be announced at that time. So just keep listening. We’ll tell you. So the second witness will be with me in Jerusalem and I will announce who it is on the weekly Sabbath of the 19th.

1:16:24: “What if, what if…comes April 17, my life changes dramatically one way or the other because it’s all in. Are we holding back? Are we all running, yet? So what are you going to do some of you who are skeptics and critics and you see these things come to pass? I will tell you what you will do as a whole, you will lie, you will twist, you will distort and you will die – speedily. So, one of us is walking on very dangerous ground.” [Wonder who Rotten Ronnie is referring to here? Hmmmmm?]

1:20:02: [Weinland chastises the critics by saying] “God mocks you critics. God mocks those of you who twist and distort what is true. God will mock your life and what’s going to happen in your life and its going to happen swiftly upon you. Thank God, because your mouths and your attitudes need to come to an end and you’re going to find out that God is not playing games. After April 17, I would fear to be in any of your shoes, truly, truly, truly! …what I say after that day carries a lot more weight……God put me on my feet and he spoke to me…revealing his word…God is the one who has to set us up…it’s all spiritual…What is it that people will believe? Nothing…except what comes to pass when it is spoken…and some are so resistant that they will die.

  1. Wow! Weinland + Harrell + Jerusalem = 2 witnesses?!?!

That math is so simple that even a CHILD can grasp it!

  2. Weinland did make a point to joke about it, that the “revelation” would get people talking or speculating about it. Insiders maintain the 2Wit is the little woman.

I for one am not about to speculate. I for one doubt Weinland’s even going to be in Jerusalem on the 17th April. Even money says the Weinlands and the Harrells are going to hole up somewhere with the church’s money. And why no mention of the Matthews? Clearly more misdirection on Weinland’s part.

  3. Just listened to the sermon. This one has to be the worst one yet… This one is so full of BULLSH~T that I can’t even begin to explain.

  4. What happened to the members that have said that Ron won’t be in Jerusalem until he’s supposed to die?

And here we go!… It’s all suddenly “spiritual!”

I can’t believe Ron is even preaching from the Bible… and people believe this crap.

Again,,,, I hope nobody gets hurt.

  5. Just a thought.. the EU has some work to do in the next 3 weeks revealing the 10 nations… we already know Ron says Germany (again) will lead the charge… just like HWA said would happen…. what, at least 5 times?

  6. My prediction:
By August 1, Ronnie boy will still not have declared himself to be a false prophet.

  7. Jim,

I believe he is making an appearance in Jerusalem because he learned about Revelation 11:2 from his critics, however the real test is rather he will be there the entire 42 months. This was all discussed on Ironwolf and I am current scanning my archieves of sermons to locate this peice of information that you discuss in an above post.

  8. Ekimks, I agree with your prediction. I predict the Weinlands and the Harrells will never be heard from again, after April 17th. I also don’t believe they’re going to be in Jerusalem…..hell, they could go to Jerusalem Pennsylvania and record the Passover services. No one will know for certain where they are.

  9. I still cannot believe that Weinland focused an entire sermon on his critics. In some way I believe that Ron does realize that he is a “false prophet,” but unfortunately he is in denial. I figured that he would change his dates. It was to start in April and the world would have “proof” that Weinland is a prophet of God. He stated many times that April would be “proof” or he would declare himself a false prophet. I think that Weinland believed that there was going to be physical proof by April, but he realized now that probably will not be the case. Looking on the bright side, he does have a lot of children who would like to become part of his organization, but they do not have jobs or money. Does he really want them? As he said in his sermon that the elders should redirect them back to their parents.

I could not believe that he was so angry with his critics. He probably has more money than any of us, yet he “curses” us, and if any of us are still skeptics or critics with bad attitudes after April 17, then we should be scared and he did imply that we would die. The question that I have to ask is why is he getting so heated up over the responses from his critics? Is it the comment in his sermon where one person wrote him an email and said that maybe tongue should be cut out!

I wonder how he is going to “spirituallize away” Revelation 11:2 were he is required to prophesize for 42 months. Jerusalem is not a save city. I wonder how long it will take for a “real crackpot” to test his role as a witness?

  10. Weinland clearly values his own income source too much. I highly, highly doubt that either the Weinlands or the Harrells will be in Jerusalem (the one in Israel at least) on April 17th. Really, given that the sermons are either uploaded or broadcasted over the Internet, for all we know, Weinland could be “preaching” from his bedroom.

(Well we know that’s not the case. But you know what I mean.)

I daresay Weinland is “prophesying” the very thing for us (his critics) that he is experiencing himself, which is fear. Fear that his already-fragile house of cards is being scattered to “the four corners of heaven”, as members begin asking critical questions, as the truth begins to come out.

  11. I will have to say after listening again that Weinland is in the hot seat right now. He’s basically pleading with his members right now to believe that the events in the book are happening EXACTLY as he said they would…. he got very hot under the collar when he explained this.

I have ALWAYS said that Ronald Weinland would have to be completely INSANE to go to Jerusalem and run through the streets preaching about Jesus Christ. In my opinion he’d be as good as dead in two minutes… not 3.5 years.

And why so much talk about tithing among members??? Why so much about “only baptised members” allowed to take part in Passover????

And Ron CONVENIENTLY uses the “half an hour in heaven” is really 30 days in God’s time crap to explain away most of the failed predictions he wrote about happening before the seventh seal was opened. I would have to say that all of this revolves around a timeline that Ron has known about for quite some time… this I believe includes preparation of so his members in the U.S. can’t locate him and recover the TON of cash he’s probably been busy hiding in foreign bank accounts.. his daughter is the business mananger…

Note: THESE ARE JUST THEORIES… I have no evidence that this has happened, but it makes sense to me.. and it would not shock me.

And yes, WW… why isn’t Mathews going to be in Jerusalem???

  12. oh….. and does anyone else notice that with each week, Ronald Weinland sounds more and more like he’s giving an Amway presentation rather than a sermon about God?

    Jim Hagerty

    March 31, 2008 at 1:59 am

  13. I fear Matthews, if his sermons and form letters to the church members are any indication, really is drinking the Kool-Aid and he will be the one left “holding the bag” as it were, when the Weinlands and the Harrells disappear with the church’s income on or around April 17th.

Unless of course they push the “prophecy” dates ahead even further. First of all it was March 18th and the seventh seal. Now it is April 17th and the first trumpet but “god has revealed that there is a separation” and so if the destruction hasn’t occurred by Pentecost (June 8 ) or July, well then he’s going to say he’s a false prophet.

Or he’s going to say “the bride of christ” (the church) wasn’t ready. Or he’s going to pick another date. Or he’s going to skip town and never be heard from again.

I really can’t see Weinland giving up the position of “spokesman and first witness” that easily, once July rolls around. After all, it was supposed to be by April.

Mark my words, this church will be celebrating another Feast of Tabernacles yet. 😦

  14. Jim, you mentioned

“oh….. and does anyone else notice that with each week, Ronald Weinland sounds more and more like he’s giving an Amway presentation rather than a sermon about God?”

Weinland has not changed since I was a teenager. I have always thought that he talks in circles, is long winded, and repeats the same content many times throughout the service. Most of his sermons could be completed in 20-30 minutes, if he would plan them appropriately, that’s just my opinion.

Did i mention short tempered, too?

  15. “I have always thought that he talks in circles, is long winded, and repeats the same content many times throughout the service.”

It’s the Ambassador College Oratorial Style. Has to be. Every other CoG minister preaches exactly the same.

  16. weinland watch: i’ve been reading your comments for quite some time now. I also grew up in wcg. It’s amazing how being raised in the church really does affect your entire life in one way or another. I was introduced to rw by family who believe whole-heartedly. They’ve begun to make preparations for the end. My whole life it has been pounded into my brain about “the great tribulation”. When we misbehaved we were always threatened that we wouldn’t make it to the place of safety. Old habits die hard I guess. Somewhere in the back of my mind i always feel guilty when i eat pork, or work on a saturday. When this rw thing came up with my family I have to say i got scared. What if? These posts keep me grounded i guess. Just wanted to say thanks.

  17. In Ron’s interview with the Edge on December 15, 2007, it is mentioned that he would not go to Jerusalem until the time that the 2 witnesses would die in September of 2011. Apparently, as Weinland refers to us as the critics, he must of learned something from us regarding Rev 11:2. In his last sermon he changed his mind and will be going to Jerusalem as he assumes the role of the 2 witnesses. The question remains will he stay there in Jerusalem for 42 months as required? Here is the transcription.

  19. I have not read all the latest comments, but I wanted to say it appears that the elders will be the official leaders of the church in their prospective areas starting this saturday. The two day elder meeting & that their wives attended in cincy will be kept secret from the rest of the church.

  20. which does raise up a red flag.

  21. Thanks so much for your input w. It looks like this information confirms the “three levels of government” Weinland spoke of in the sermon around 31:45.

Interesting that you say this meeting will be kept secret from the church—it has been in the announcements of the sermons for a couple of weeks now and Weinland even spoke about it on Saturday. (Although he said it would be “more of a Bible study” than an elder’s meeting.)

Thanks for the information it is really helpful.

Edit: Apparently “w” meant the minutes from the 2-day elders & wives meeting are to be kept secret from the church. This is how most Church of God organizations operate, and may raise a red flag for “w” but is the same old, same old, for anyone who has been around the block and back with the WCG et al.

  22. Well – it is past the passover and Has he declared himself to be a false prophet?

If he keeps going like this – may God have mercy on him. Unless he is deliberately leading the children of God away….

  23. Well past Passover, but he claimed he was going to declare himself a false prophet if by Pentecost a 1/3 of all plant life in the US hasn’t died and the clear death of animals and people—well listen to the quote for yourself.

Of course he has since retracted that promise, so it’s anybody’s guess.

Apparently Plan B has been shelved in favour of China and Myanmar, despite what he “prophesied” in the book about “the first powerful event of the seventh seal”.

They’re on to the second trumpet already, Weinland and his elders and what few followers they have left.
