TIMELINE ONE/TWO: RCC Pontiff Addresses the U.N.

Note: This post has been “stuck” to the front page. Please scroll down to see the latest posts.

And still no devil-horns on the Dagon hat. Lot of stuff about world peace, solving the problems of the third world countries, and human rights though. And oh yes can’t forget the recitation of the Golden Rule. The RCC pontiff exemplifying the Golden Rule, that is clearly proof of powerful Satanic influence.

Isn’t it?

Weinland?

Wifey?

Any thoughts?

Didn’t think so.

  2. Clearly you haven’t been following the blog then. It has been an “open secret” in the CoG and ex-CoG community that he had appointed his wife the second witless.

I still feel bad for the wife.

  4. Ooops.

I’ve been dealing with too many of Weinland’s believers telling me to get a life. Sorry. 🙂

  5. Didn’t Jesus warn of false prophets as a sign of His return? Should RW be sued for tithes made in reliance on his misrepresentations? Although I’m a woman, doesn’t the Bible prohibit women assuming ministerial positions and doesn’t a “final witness” imply just that…ministering to unbelievers?

  6. Mary,
While the Bible may forbid women from the ministry, we’d all be better off if we just reinstituted matriarchy and Goddess worship. I’d much rather say, “The Priestess wants to talk to me…” or “I need to go council with my Priestess.”

  7. So “After-The-Fact Watchman Weinland” is still at it?
Is there still hope that he will answer the burning questions with his ‘fiery’ (ignorant) speech?’
    Probably not.
    50/50 at the most.

  11. I should add, that the seventh seal was opened on March 18th, and the quote I mention above says “The world will be shocked and in horror on the day the seventh seal is opened.” Weinland’s excuse when it wasn’t?

1:09:55 – 1:09:1:10:04 RW March 22 Sermon “Three More Weeks”:”Did I say anything was going to happen on the 18th? It’s a spiritual thing. I thought I made that abundantly clear. But God made it quite clear through what he was giving……”

What didn’t happen on 17th April was the (silent) sound of the first trumpet. Details on what 2008: God’s Final Witness had to say about the first trumpet of Revelation are here, with page number references.
More fear-mongering related to the prognostications in the book were in the March 1 sermon, to wit:

1:08:11-1:09:00 RW Sermon March 1, “The Mystery of God Part 3
“When Washington DC doesn’t exist anymore. When several port cities in the United States doesn’t exist anymore, and we have some of the things take place. Nuclear weapons that go off in some areas. You know, Katrina, there, crippled that part of the country. We have no comprehension what it’s going to be like when Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Houston Texas, and Los Angeles, and different places like that, have nuclear weapons go off in them. And that’s before Germany does what it does. But then they step in. And they’re going to be the ones that come in and conquer. And that’s how we-Mr. Armstrong knew some very basic things here, that war was going to take place. So again here, the nation of Israel was conquered by the Assyrians, the Germanic people, in 722 BC.”

By the time the March 29 sermon rolled around, the terrible destruction &c., that was supposed to happen with the sounding of the first trumpet (on April 17th remember) morphed into “45-90 days” with Weinland promising the following:

    1:53:20 “Three More Weeks”:

“If by Pentecost I’m just going to make this real clear to everyone. If by Pentecost it is not powerfully and abundantly clear that there has been a great deal of destruction that will clearly encompass a third of all plant life in the US and at least the clear results of this mingled with blood the death of very much animal life and the beginning of large numbers of human life then I will stop preaching. Just so all the critics and everyone out there will understand. I am true to my word in these things. OK? And for all the critics if by the end of July and for most likely around Pentecost if nothing has clearly caused great destruction and death I will make it very clear that I was a false prophet. I will do exactly what I said I would do on aaaaall those interviews that I have held. To do less. Well. Would be quite insane.”

So there you have it. Welcome to the Great Tribulation, folks! Now just why is the weather so good, I want to know?

  12. How convenient that Mrs. Weinland is the second witness….sure let’s keep the power in the family…soon the money will follow as well. I’m curious to know how Ron earns his money to pay his mortgage. This guy travels extensively (can get expensive) living a lifestyle out of a suitcase and eating out a lot….would luv to have his job.

  13. I’m not impressed with the free book he gives out…..just another ploy to make people think he’s for real because he’s giving something away for free. People requesting his book is another notch in his inflated ego, making him feel more powerful and important.

  14. It must also be noted that this “free” book is financed by the tithes of the members.

In addition to the tithe that is a prerequisite for baptism (as per the link above), members are required to pay a 10% “first tithe” on their annual net income, and a further 10% “second tithe” that is to be used for the Feast of Tabernacles. Recent allegations indicate that the PKG members have still been reserving a 2nd tithe, only since there is no Feast of Tabernacles (allegedly) scheduled for this year (because “the end is upon us”), allegedly this second 10% is going in to the church as well.

Every third year of seven, a further 10% or “3rd tithe” is taken off of members’ income. Allegedly, this is to help the poor and destitute of the church, but historically this money has always gone to the ministry, and there are reports of people who really needed this “third tithe” being unable to access it, or denied, by the minister in their area.

(The ministers are conveniently exempt from paying ANY of these tithes because they are considered “the Levitical priesthood”.)

Those “free” books the church likes to say it is “giving away” cost far, far, more than they should, in terms of financial hardship and impact on the actual members of the church.

  15. What’s written above upsets me even further. Why are people soo gullible? We have the capacity to think, reason and create our own destiny…that’s powerful in itself, but yet people would rather follow a man who preaches on a soap box scarring the day lights out of us. Get a life!! Weinland is one gigantic dark cloud….he offers no hope, happiness or wisdom….a negative magnet.

  16. “Why are people soo gullible?”

Thought reform. It has nothing to do with being gullible.
