Notes on May 3 Sermon “April 17th”

Thanks to Shadows of WCG for providing a full transcript of the first hour-and-a-half of the sermon here.

“Monday, I wasn’t very comfortable. Thankfully, I have a helpmate that was there with me. And she started quoting all kinds of scriptures and all kinds of situations to give me the encouragement and help I need to be refocused because I wasn’t having a good day.”

A sign that the missus is drinking the Kool-Aid as well? Or that she just doesn’t want the expensive lifestyle to stop?

“And so sometimes we receive the brunt end of some of these things. From family, from people you work with, on the job perhaps, my wife can’t get in and out of the bank sometimes without someone calling her in and talking about some of the things on occasion here, you know. Different manager, different ones (unintelligable) and stuff. They’re talking about it.”

I will repeat what I have said many many times before: I feel badly for the wife. 😦

Back in Erie, Pennsylvania. Because the battles we were going through then were preparing us for something later on I had no idea what we would be prepared for. The lying, the shenanigans going on in that particular area, the things that took place, and how hard that was mentally to live through some of those things.”

“And so some perhaps are waiting until Pentecost to see. Is he gonna say he’s a false prophet then? I can tell you right now the answer to that is absolutely no. Audio

If by Pentecost it is not powerfully and abundantly clear that there has been a great deal of destruction that will clearly encompass a third of all plant life in the US and at least the clear results of this mingled with blood the death of very much animal life and the beginning of large numbers of human life then I will stop preaching. Just so all the critics and everyone out there will understand. I am true to my word in these things. OK? And for all the critics if by the end of July and most likely around Pentecost if nothing has clearly caused great destruction and death I will make it very clear that I was a false prophet. I will do exactly what I said I would do on aaaaall those interviews that I have held. To do less. Well. Would be quite insane.” Audio

“We are so puny. we are so small. You know, last year, at the Feast, if you counted everybody, maybe even some dogs and cats, uh, maybe 450. Total. Worldwide. You know, amazing. We’ve had a lot of growth since then. Which is exciting because of what God has done in that length of time. Inspiring and exciting to see things that take place. And I’m talking about children as well as adults in that.”

That is a smaller Feast turnout than even “w” admitted. Given that at least a hundred of those were most likely visitors (i.e., not regular members of any CoG or their CoG’s Feast sites were full), it looks like 300 is a fairly accurate number for the church as it stands now.

“And all this millions of dollars we have? If they only knew.” [LAUGHS.] “If they only knew. We hit over a million dollars at one point. But we’re way below that right now. We’re not there anymore because of all the monies we’re throwing into google, and everything else we’ve been doing.”

Any wonder the bank managers want to talk to the wife. They are probably trying to get her to separate her finances. 😦 Here’s my question though: If you were over a million bucks at one point, but you’re way below that now, where did that money go?

Does Daddy’s Little Bookkeeper have an answer for this?

“Clothed in sack cloth. So, people don’t even understand that because people take things physically. It’s talking about humility. And it’s not talking about humility toward human beings. Humility is about a relationship with God.”

No, you get to be an arrogant S.O.B. to human beings because that is S.O.P. for members of the Levitical priesthood.

“God doesn’t mince words. Says you want to hurt them in whatever manner you come up with, you’ll be killed. God’s not playing games. He’ll protect them for 3 1/2 years. And if he didn’t because of the things that are going to come to pass, they would be dead. Cause there are going to be plenty out there who will want to kill them. Amazing. Nice position to be in, isn’t it.”

Let me repeat this again. No one wants to kill the Weinlands. No one knows who they are. And of those who do, no one wants them dead.

“So in that sermon “It Has Begun”, we had addressed these verses toward the end and I said that, in that particular sermon, the time is now for the thunders to become far more pronounced and cause devestation in a far more pronounced and visible way.”

Before the Seventh (and final) Seal is opened, the Seven Thunders will become so pronounced that the validity of everything written about them in the previous chapter should roar loudly in the ears of anyone who is willing to admit the truth.” [pp. 115, 2008: God’s Final Witness]

1:09:55 – 1:10:04 RW March 22 Sermon: “Just like what we believed that just last week here. Oh last week? 18th.” [someone laughs] “Yeah. The seventh seal was opened………”

“From what is stated about the 1/3 of the trees and grass, that’s later. That’s going to happen later it’s going to happen past. It’s going to happen after Pentecost. It won’t be before Pentecost either. OK?Audio

To do less. Well. Would be quite insane.” RW March 29 Sermon “Three More Weeks” Audio

Update: J has now transcribed the last half-hour of the sermon. Here are the quotes that jump out at me personally:

“So, it’s weighed heavily on me to know that so many have sacrificed so much to support what is being done. Far above tithes and offerings. Normal offerings, I might add, to God. As I mentioned earlier, we’re wiping out reserves rapidly. And we’re going to continue to do so. We’re going to continue to do so, right through the summer.

So here Weinland excuses the excesses and wasting of money, and exercises milieu control in an effort to get the members to start thinking ahead to the summer. Not Pentecost.

“So, I have thought about all this, and asked that question, what if. What if. That’s where I was Monday. oh. Bad feeling. What if. Because I’m true to my word in what I would do. If it comes to that point in time, and it was made very clear nothing happened this year, absolutely brethren, I would make it very clear and say it clearly. But again, I don’t believe it in any fashion, one bit, one iota.”

To do less. Well. Would be quite insane.” RW March 29 Sermon “Three More Weeks” Audio

“So if anyone who uh, gave above and beyond I just want to add this too – just so you can examine your place and what you did – because I know how the human mind is. Some gave offerings that aren’t normal. I hope – you know if there are some that are regretting some of that, that are having second doubts about some of that, I want to say something right now, real clear to you okay? I’ll return it. Those of you that have given $10,000, $20,000, $50,000, $80,000, $100,000, and more, because there are those of you who fit in those categories, above and beyond normal tithes and offerings. But you need to let me know before Pentecost. Thought I’d give a week. I thought no, Ill just say it until Pentecost. Otherwise, to understand, you are saying that you are in full agreement of those monies being used fully to be used whatever i deem necessarry because I am going to continue moving forward, putting everything into what we’re doing. That’s what I’ve been doing all along, that’s what I’m going to confinue to do. Okay.”

So in other words, Weinland is willing to return the money, but only if members meet his requirements (that they ask for it back before Pentecost). I ask again, what of those who are waiting until after Pentecost? They will now have no recourse, as per this sermon, legally or otherwise.

  1. I think people should vent and send emails maybe he’ll feel so badly his stop his sherade as a prophet, the same principle how judge mathis call “drug abusers” dope fiends to make the feel shame. I left him an email: contact@ronaldweinland.com
I don’t know if he’ll get the email or ever read it but its fun to vent. check out what i wrote i hope he gets a chance to read it.

Give it up, your prophesies are dead wrong, you suck, give the money back to your church members, repent, and then put on your dunce cap as you proclaim yourself a false prophet. Don’t deny All the people you promised that you would declare yourself a false prophet the satisfaction of seeing you humiliate yourself, now that’s true humility. Come on man; not even 1 thunder happened, now you’re saying people shouldn’t expect physical things to happen, you said the foundation of the world would be shaken, 1/3 of all plant life destroyed, horror and terror, I’ve been sleeping like a baby through all your fake thunders and when you speak about trumpets I want to beat you with a literal trumpet till you proclaim YOU’RE A DIRTY ROTTEN LIAR, false prophet is way to nice of a term for you. Christ said no one knows when his return will be not even himself, yet you know? Are you better than Christ? You are a pompous false prophet. You know if this were the time of Gideon you would have been stoned to DEATH! You’re not one of the 2 witnesses, you’re just a mean guy with the demon of false prophesy. How can you continue on your pulpit and tell people to wait when according to your own words you are a false prophet, APRIL 2008 didn’t separate you from all the other false prophets it included you on their ride to hell. You’re going to HELL RONALD, HELL. Get your act together. Christ died so we can have forgiveness and remission of sins through his blood, not the Sabbath. Your falling into the same legalistic pit the Pharisees fell into when always questioning Christ about the Sabbath. None of the people who mock you are going to die, none of them. People mocked and even spit on Christ, so you think you’re better than the savior of the human race once again. LAUGH- HA HA! The sack clothe of humility? Sack clothe is sack clothe everywhere in the bible except in that one verse just so you don’t have to wear it!!! You’re not humble before God, if you were you would be in sack clothe right now putting ashes on your head, shaving yourself bald and even beating yourself from time to time asking for forgiveness for your gravest of sins, you’ve added a lot to the book of revelation so you’ve had your name BLOTTED out of the book of life, You’re cursed RONALD, I’m waging spiritual warfare against you now RONALD.

  3. Ronald actually managed to have plagues released on himself……

revelation18-19: 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

he should have just pointed people to revelation and threw his book in the garbage, i hope it was worth it, tssk tssk tsssk

  5. No plagues yet. Not for Weinland, nor for his mockers.

You sure you want to trust the bible to take care of those false prophets for you? It doesn’t seem to be doing a very good job thus far. 😉

  7. Right on man! This is my last annoying E-mail to Ronnie, i hope you like it 😀 :

You had a million dollars at one point and now your way below that, what happened to all that money? Do you think we are so stupid as to believe you spent all that money on google? and you didn’t even use ad words banners or anything? Sure you didn’t work for the money might as well just waste it away. I know what really happened Ronald, For years you used LSD to get your “Divine” revelations, at first it was just to enhance your communications with “the God of Abraham” so you only blew 100 or so bucks a week, I’m not making excuses for you though, drugs are bad Ronald. Then you got writers block so you needed more LSD, during that time you still were not making a dent in the Church money you were a Stuart of, but you were clearly crossing the line. One day while writing 2008 God’s final witness your dealer Got busted!, oh no, what were you gonna do! You heard that blacks and Latinos like to sell drugs so you went looking for them, after getting beat up a few times for being racist and stereotypical you scored, but not LSD – Crack is wack Ronnie NOOOOOOoooooo!!!!! Thus Ronald Weinland became a crack fiend. Poor Ronnie thought he could just smoke that crack and go right back to LSD But it didn’t happen that way did it RONALD, you slipped further and further into addiction didn’t you 😦 It’s OK, take the rest of that money from the church and sign up for rehab, you can do it Ronald, we’ve all made mistakes. Don’t worry about your wife she doesn’t take you seriously she knows you read too many comic books as a child so you’ve always wanted super powers and a side kick, no worries there Ronnie, may i suggest you go see iron man, and rent spider man 1&2 and superman and go see dark knight too, you have to get this superhero thing out of your system Ronnie, It’s OK you need a hug, i know. You weren’t allowed to buy fantastic four comics, so you had to hide your love for superheroes, but one day you found super heroes in the bible! Then you could openly fantasize and play 2 witnesses and have RAD powers, but we all know you want to be human torch and professor X , This is so obvious now using hind sight. I’m sorry little Ronnie wonnie, we can play super hero and forget about all this Global destruction, whadda ya say pal?

  8. Unfortunately, as amusing as it may have been to send such an email, it won’t even make a dent. Nor would it be considered seriously. I really doubt that even serious emails are being considered at this point, by the elders, and the few remaining faithful.

  9. I am with you ww. It really would be wasting our time wouldn’t it? The weather is too nice outside. Start the yard work.
It is over, nothing happened. He would love all the attention he can get though, but not from this end. The time is over for it to be put to sleep.
Now the whole little church will be alone. Not so much attention anymore.. That will hurt him more than anything.
I really am beginning to think the members are starting to feel like they have been duped. Well, at least we can hope they can see it soon…

  10. My heart goes out to those who are starting to feel duped. They have a long, hard trip ahead of them yet. All of us ex-WCG and ex-splinter members are here as living testimony to them that they can make it out, to breathe in the fresh air and revel in the beautiful spring weather!

  15. Yes Mike venting does feel good. And i know how you feel with all that garbage Ron puts out. BUT i think what really bothers me so much is he keeps changing everything and the members are buying it.
    Amazing isn’t it???
I have a brother who would love to punch his lights out, but i guess he will have to wait in line. haha

  16. I’ve had my share of fun mocking Ron, but after his pathetic showing last Saturday and the growing realization of how much he’s damaged his followers, I’ve lost my stomach for it, for awhile at least. Time to think more about the people he’s managed to trap in his con/fantasy.

Right now I’m appealing to him to come to his senses and
    do the right thing.

  17. Weinland did mention in his latest sermon that he is still waiting for someone to give him a scripture that states that the two witnesses need to be in Jerusalem for the entire 42 months. How about Revelation 11:2 for a chapter and verse that literally states that he needs to be in Jerusalem. Just another reason why Weinland is not who he claims to be.

  18. me too X-cog-pkg, It bothers me alot how people hear with their own ears what he said, and can’t tell hes a liar, he promised terror on specific dates and nothing happened, by his own admition he is no different than all the other false prophets before him. Come on COG PKG members , he is a liar if his testimony was scutinized by a court he would be arrested for pergury.

  19. Does anyone know specifically where it says the 2 witnesses are men?
I have never found that. Someone i think on this blog mentioned it was in the Bible. No can find. It could be 2 charming ladies..

  20. I think I remember seeing it debated over on Ambassador Watch, but I’m not sure which post it was in the comments section of.

The gist of the argument has something to do with how to translate the Greek, I think; if I recall the outcome of the debate, it’s not clear either way. Then again, I didn’t really pay much attention, because as far as I’m concerned, the two witnesses were the two Jewish guys the Roman prelate (I am blanking on the name at the moment) murdered sometime in 70AD.

But I much prefer the preterist view of the book of Revelation to the dual prophecy angle that I grew up believing in. 😀

  21. I don’t think there’s much to be gained from quibbling over whether one of the two witnesses can be a woman. Nor does it help to argue whether they have to be in Jerusalem. Just gives the false prophet an argument against some of his critics he might be able to win, and divert attention from his real flaws.

Instead, we should hammer on the clear contradictions from his own words: the non-dead leaders of competing Armstrongite splinters, the lack of shock and awe on March 18th, and the Seven Silent Thunders.
