The Return of “w”

Update: Shadows of WCG has a post on the Myanmar non-connection.

“w” returned recently to let us know that he/she is doing well. All emphasis is mine.

Well, everyone from Weinland Watch to Ambassdor Reports has heard the last two weeks of defiant sermons. Weinland’s or one of the two evangelists e-mail  to the select few that was exposed has now been altered.  Followers still in Weinland’s Church will take the Chinese & Burma disasters as proof we are in the end time.

It is a broken record and never ending chain of reruns stories.  Laura Weinland is not going renounce her husband or give any of the money back.  This whole situation has become a bad dream that hundreds of people refuse to wake up.  I have done my best to talk to people about leaving, but I am blue in the face.  A few people have left and many who said they were giving Weinland till Pentecost or late July 2008 seem to be willing to go on forever.  Yes, these people have been brainwashed and the church’s pull on them is stronger than granite.  I my thoughts and prayers go out to those still in Ron Weinland’s clutches.  I am a happier person now that I got away from this church.  I guess we can all claim a partial victory that Weinland’s church is in the hundreds and not thousands by now.

I hope a few people that have woken up will be there to council those who need help.  Of course, you can ‘t help anyone else until you admit Ron was wrong.  I have sent personal e-mails about my experience to no avail.  I only hope the stories of those who have come before and left the cog-pkg will keep new people from coming on board.  The Weinlands probably were lying all this time about returning any of the extra money given above tithes, even if someone asks.

This will just be a reason to disfellowship you out of the church of Weinland.  I think everyone is tired of this man’s antics and predictions that has been proved so wrong.  Finally, I wanted to point out that Burma and China have had worse typhoons and earthquakes in both counties in the last 15 to 30 years and we were not in the tribulation then either.

Even one person leaving is a full victory in my opinion. But “w” is a victory in their own right, for opening their eyes and asking the hard questions, despite the fear and the indoctrination.

Never stop asking questions. Asking questions is what will set you free.

  1. I was wondering what ole Ronnie has been up to the past few weeks. I think that if he kept saying in his book that the Great Tribulation would start out “spritual” and that no one would see anything different, that it wouldn’t attract the attention that he desires. Instead, he panders to the fearful, talking about horrible destruction and death and disease. That is sick, just plain sick. He is a sick man for saying the things that he did.
Since nothing he said that would physically come to pass has happened (Go back and read his books. Nothing, I mean NOTHING, that he said physically would happen, did), I think all who have supported him up until now should stop sending him their tithes and offerings. They will need it post-July when they have their mortgage payments still due and their children need health care and they have that root canal that they have been putting off.

  2. Didn’t Weinland say in a sermon a few weeks ago that we would all know for sure about him by the end of June? I have a feeling that no matter what happens he will be able to keep deceiving all those who are still following him. I have family in that church and apart from a miracle from God, they will never leave no matter what.
    It is so sad.

  3. Not to diminish the obvious tragedy, but aren’t the event which are going to astonish and make things so very, very obvious supposed to happen in the “scattered Israelite nations”? America, the UK, Australia, Canada…
    Not Burma, China…

  4. Correct.

This first powerful event of the Seventh Seal will result in wide-spread destruction over the United States and beyond her border into Canada. The destruction in Canada will be less, but she will experience repercussions from what will happen in the U.S.; because she is a neighbor, as well as a prophetic brother.” [pp. 117 – 118, 2008: God’s Final Witness]

  5. Hi ww. thanks for the gracious update. Yes i know you have been honest to those people still in who may read your blog (and from others) who are thinking of joining, but i know they are still hanging on to Ron’s every word, and he tries to make all of us look like we are fighting the true prophet of God, so in all their eyes they think it has to be true then. Who else would deny Ron the so called true prohet of God but us crazies. The things that are also happening here in the usa to all of them are Ron’s prophecies. Even heard them say we have had more tornado’s then ever recorded before in these times. Do have have history ww to prove him wrong? I would like to know. I bet there has been.
YOu are right “L” my question exactly. All i can think of to answer that one is Ron thinks with that destruction in Burma and china, will devastate our economic situation. So that will be his reasoning to the members about that. He did mention economics hitting us hard. What a surprise, i never saw it coming. haha
Appreciate the comments. It is done in a civil way now, not like the hate Ron dishes out to the members. OH, Ron liked the hate stuff before, but it only made the members so mad at us and pitied Ron and Laura…
He still only has a few hundred so don’t let him fool you. When he said 300, he was just about right on. I am just surprise he hasn’t lost the elders. But i will tell you why. They are trying to grow up the members in their areas, to make a living from the tithes. That is what is left after Ron. You have to realize some of these elders are out of work. They need some income. I am not joking. True…

  6. Even heard them say we have had more tornado’s then ever recorded before in these times.

    This is absolutely untrue.

These individuals need to look up the following dates in the meteorological record:

April 3-4, 1974 was the Super Outbreak. Over 174 Tornadoes ravaged the United Statesd in a 2 day period. Nothing has come close to that in the past 3 decades.

Check here for the total list of tornadoes and tornado outbreaks:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_North_American_tornadoes_and_tornado_outbreaks

This proves that their hysteria over this season’s tornadoes is not needed. We have had ssome outbreaks, and above average fatalities, yes – but this is all part of the natural meteorological cycle.

  7. Besides being an obvious fraud, RW is ghoul looking for death and destruction to further instill fear into his followers.

I think that RW will have a revelation that Burma and China is populated by the lost tribes of Israel, abandoning his Anglo-Israelism to fit into his scheme of things. The guy will resort to any sleazy tactic possible.

  9. The COG’s have a few scattered members in Myanmar — the land of the legendary elder Saw Lay Beh (sorry, not sure of the proper spelling).

And China used to have a Feast site years ago. God could be punishing the P.R.C. for not permitting one now.

  13. So on the second sound clip we here laughter when Ronnie says “you got to be kidding.” The poor fool that was laughing reminds me of the bad old days when we all chuckled about what some other ministry said or predicted when members of the Armstrong cult. The sad thing is, we where the fools! Not the others. Walter Martin called us a cult and we laughed and justified it by saying “the early church was called a sect (cult).”

Laugh we did until we realized that our collective eyes had been put out. Our consciouses had been seared by self righteousness and our pockets picked by men that where lower than dirt!

Yes you fools in Ronnie’s cult, go and laugh, but realize that the time will soon come that people such as yourselves may be asked to kill yourselves. It could happen when the end is really near for the false prophet that goes by the name Weinland. When the police start investigating. It will happen.

  14. Do you really think that? J suggested the elders’ belief in the Top 10 might prevent that.

Then again, hearsay suggests at least one elder is an ex-convict. No, it’s not Redneck Johnny. But guaranteed the good ol’ boy laughing on the clip is exempt from “giving to god” until it hurts.

  15. Your fascination with R.W. and the energy and time you devote to this nut case speaks volumn of your obsession with everything that is GOD or GOD like.
You obviously have much talent so why not use it to help your fellow man.
R.W. is interested in himself, why dont you channel your energy in something constructive….
Let the nuts care for themselves….let the talented help their fellow man….
You have channeled your obvious talents to the negative…..use it positively….and all the false prophets…are doomed…..John…

  16. “Let the nuts care for themselves….let the talented help their fellow man….”

Funny, that’s exactly what I’m doing, helping my fellow man. At least my fellow humans who have been trapped by the church. As for Weinland, he does care for himself — and his all-important tithes — which is the point.
